Percival

Built from real security operations, not a checklist, Percival helps security professionals assess, prioritise and manage risk without relying on inflated scores or black-box logic.

It combines threat intelligence and OSINT, regulatory frameworks, assessments and operational context without collapsing them into a single number. Each remains distinct, allowing decisions to be based on evidence, judgement and experience.

From physical security to supply chain exposure, Percival brings your data, assessments and controls into one place and turns them into decisions you can stand behind when it matters.

Because when judgement is tested, you need more than a number.

Principles

Structured scoring, not guesswork

  • Separate inherent and residual risk. Never overwritten.
  • Map risk against real-world response capability, not just severity.
  • Prioritisation is explicit, so decisions can be explained, challenged and defended.

Evidence that holds up

  • Threat intelligence and OSINT, regulatory frameworks and your own assessments feed the decision.
  • Nothing is silently blended or weighted behind the scenes.
  • Understand what influenced the outcome and why.

Standards without distortion

  • ISO, British Standards and regulatory frameworks are reference points, not scoring inputs.
  • They inform decisions without inflating them.
  • Alignment without artificial certainty.

One system, full context

  • From physical security to supply chain exposure, bring assets, vendors, controls and surveys into one place.
  • Connect assessments, risks and actions without losing the context behind them.
  • Decisions remain consistent as scope expands.

Built for accountability

  • Risk, policy, assessments and decisions retain their history.
  • Review, challenge and approve with ownership and context preserved.
  • A decision is only as strong as the reasoning behind it.

Sinan Augustus CSMP® MSyI

My work is centred on security and risk management: assessing exposure, identifying control gaps and directing incident response when things go wrong.

Alongside operational delivery, I continue to develop the strategic risk and crisis management discipline required to build and lead security programmes end to end through the Institute of Strategic Risk Management.

Percival grew from a gap I experienced first-hand.

The tools available were effective at recording risk, producing reports and demonstrating compliance, but they did not reflect how security decisions are actually made in operational environments.

Risk is rarely a simple calculation. It requires judgement, context and the ability to explain why a decision was made.

So I built the platform I needed. A system designed around better judgement, clearer decisions and risk management that stands up when it matters.
